7 Edificio Ahumada Once
1964
Jaime Larraín V. et Osvaldo Larraín E., architects.
Ahumada 11, Santiago.
A clear example of rational architecture, with its aluminium curtain-wall and acrylic paneling, the Ahumada 11 building occupies a top corner on the Alameda, at the beginning of the Ahumada street. Without grandiosity, like some of its neighbors, the simplicity of its volume allows for an almost absolute flexibility in use, a typical feature of downtown office buildings like this one, mainly from this period when it consolidated as a dynamic business district.
