6 Liceo Valentín Letelier
Buenos Aires 575, Recoleta.
An iconic building along the Recoleta Avenue, the Liceo Valentín Letelier is a pure product of the State’s activity dedicated to the construction of the educational infrastructure. It follows the order of pavillions and patios, and resorting to the modern aesthetics, evident in its clean and stern facades, represents its function as a public institution. This building, together with other schools built by the government, stand for the best years (1950—1970) of the role of the State as builder.
